If the apartment of your choice is not available, you can put down a refundable waitlist deposit to be added to our waitlist for that specific unit. 

If you (or your loved one) aren’t quite ready for senior living, but feel the time is coming soon, don’t hesitate to visit us. The sooner you get on the waitlist for the specific type of floor plan or view that you want, the more options you will have when the time comes for a move.

At Amira Choice, your Independent or Assisted Living monthly rent includes a spacious apartment home complete with a full kitchen. Many of our apartments include a private balcony or patio, in-unit washer and dryer, and walk-in closet. Your Memory Care or Enhanced Care rent includes a bright apartment home, most with a convenient kitchenette. The monthly rent covers most utilities (such as electric, gas, water, trash removal, etc.) and home and appliance maintenance repairs and plumbing.

Amira Choice are senior living rental communities. Our leases are month-to-month, so there are no long-term commitments. But we think you’ll love it here so much, you’ll never want to go anywhere else.

Your Medicare or health insurance does not pay for senior living rent. However, it may help pay for some of the services you receive while living in our community. Some residents have long-term care insurance plans that may help reimburse them for some of the day-to-day expenses of Assisted Living.

Some Amira Choice communities accept Medicaid payment for nursing services, assistance with activities of daily living, and other services. Please contact the Amira Choice community of your preference for additional information.

If you are choosing Independent Living (with or without add-on services such as laundry and housekeeping), you do not need a doctor’s order to move in. If you sign up with our Assisted Living, Memory Care or Enhanced Care living options, you may need a doctor’s written order. This is especially true if our care team will be assisting you with your medication. Our healthcare team will provide an assessment, discuss available services that may be beneficial to you, and be there to coordinate with your doctor every step of the way.

Yes, you may work with any healthcare provider that you choose. You can continue to go out to your doctors’ appointments as you have been doing. There are also doctors and other healthcare teams that visit each community. Our licensed nursing and caregiving team – on staff at every Amira Choice community – can provide nursing services and help with the activities of daily living.

We provide residences and care for older adults of all faiths. You do not need to be any specific religion to live in our communities. Chaplains do visit many of our communities to provide services such as devotionals, prayer groups, support groups, grief support and one-on-one visits for those who would like them.

Absolutely! Your family and friends are welcome to visit you anytime. We encourage your family members and friends to be involved in the life of our community.
