Memory Care

We understand the challenges that come when a loved one requires Memory Care. Our compassionate caregivers are specially trained to help people with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia to live meaningful lives. In addition to a personalized care plan specifically tailored to your loved one’s daily needs, we employ innovative and effective programming designed to enhance connection, build strength and inspire confidence.

At Amira Choice Minnetonka, our management partner, Ebenezer, provides our Memory Care residences with its Dimensions® program, a multifaceted dementia and memory care program that ensures residents receive exceptional care based on current best practices. It emphasizes relationship-based care, nutrition and wellness, creative engagement, calm environments and best-in-class training to staff and support to families.

We also support the families of our residents living with memory loss through a variety of resources, current research and activities designed to bring our community together. Our Memory Care neighborhoods are small and easy to navigate, offering residents a greater sense of independence as they explore, meet new people and take part in activities and events. An enclosed outdoor patio and garden provide a lovely spot to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. In order to fully support our residents’ nutritional needs, we provide three chef-prepared meals daily in our dining room and always have a variety of snacks on hand.

Memory Care Apartments, from Studios to One-Bedrooms

Our studio and one-bedroom Memory Care apartments in Minnetonka, Minnesota, are naturally bright and inviting, with kitchenettes and private baths. A warm and dedicated care team provides linen and personal laundry service, as well as weekly housekeeping and daily bed-making. Around-the-clock supervision is complemented by additional monitoring by a registered nurse. In our experience, when a resident feels their best, every day holds the potential to spark connection.

Dimensions Program

Our management partner, Ebenezer, provides our Memory Care residences with its Dimensions® program, a multifaceted dementia and memory care program that ensures residents receive exceptional, compassionate care based on current best practices. It emphasizes relationship-based care, nutrition and wellness, creative engagement, calm environments and best-in-class training to staff and support to families.

Dimensions Manager

Our Dimensions® Manager implements the multi-faceted Dimensions program, acts as a family liaison, assists with staff training and works to maximize independence and well-being for residents in our Memory Care program.

Ebenezer Care Services

Full-time registered nurses and 24-hour personal care assistants are available to all residents receiving care. Residents can choose from a large menu of supportive homemaking and healthcare services, like assistance with dressing, bathing, medication management and more. Our list of available services is extensive and includes two-person and mechanical lift transfers, assistance with insulin and other medical needs.

Spiritual Support

We welcome residents of all faiths. For those who would like one-on-one visits – or who wish to participate in devotionals, prayer groups, support groups and grief support – a chaplain visits our community regularly.

Visiting Health Providers

We partner with provider groups to bring experienced podiatrists, audiologists and optometrists directly to our community on a regular basis.

On-site Primary Care Services

We’ve partnered with M Health Fairview Geriatric Services, whose doctors and nurse practitioners are specialists in the care of residential senior patients, to provide on-site care at our community on a regular basis. In addition, AccentCare Fairview Home Care and Hospice provides Medicare-covered nursing services; physical, occupational and speech therapies; and hospice and social work services to residents.
